As they approached the corner,John guided her to a side street.He pressed her against a tree,and kissed her passionately.Rose responded to his kiss and she heard him say, 'I love you my darling Rose.'She responded by telling him that she loved him also.
Later that evening Rose called Doris,and her friend was listening attentively.'Yes, he kissed me tenderly against the big tree,around the corner from the school. Rose was happy and in love,but she wanted her best friend to also have a love life.
'Doris,I am happy that you are now talking with Samuel.He is also really cute,tall, and a handsome man. 'We have not made that much progress,Doris revealed.I am only allowed to talk with him on the phone at nights when we do not have school',explained Doris. 'You have more freedom then I,you are lucky with your great parents. I am jealous but, I am your friend and I hope that you two make it.'
Rev.Simmons had a piano recital for his daughter and other church members.Rose's mother made her a pink linen and cotton dress with lace attached around the Peter Pan collar,and puffed sleeves.
