Beneath diversionary government rhetoric, in the reality of covert operations, there is no right and wrong. Behind lies that manipulate the oblivious populace, life is a gray area of ulterior motives and secret agreements, the final goal of which is the preservation and prosperity of the few who control the many. In this world is Mad God, a novel of shadowy denizens of blurred corners of human endeavor. Duty and its consequences are never questioned, but all humans seek love, even in a world that is determined to do them harm. Mad God is a compelling, sometimes shocking, and darkly funny novel in which nothing is as it first appears and the suspense builds until the very last word.
About the Author
Shaun Mason was first taught to read at age five by his Aunt Carol, so he could read Batman comic books. Mason began writing fiction at age eleven. He graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1985 with a BA in creative writing and moved to Los Angeles, California the same year. Besides writing, Mason plays guitar in a traditional country and western band, The Tavernapples, and a record-nerd rock band, The Shills, in the Los Angeles area. He lives with his lovely wife, Chris, and their exuberant English Bull Terrier.
