About the Book

Everyone has a purpose and a destiny. LIVE is a book

of inspirational poems which is based upon words

that will inspire you to LIVE. The alphabetical words are

unique because they represent a scripture, whole or in part,

that begins to breathe life into everyone who is willing to

believe. Take each poem - “Words To Live” and speak

LIVING into yourself. This book is about having more

than just life; it’s about LIVING your purpose, LIVING

your destiny, LIVING your calling, and LIVING your life.

SO LIVE!

About the Author

Marcellus Troy Alexander is married to his Sunflower,

Lydia Naomi Alexander since 1995. Marcellus, raised in

New Jersey, knew at a very early age that his calling was to

inspire everyone, especially young people, to walk in their

vision, their purpose, their destiny. The journey to their

destiny begins by instilling a belief a “faith” that their

destiny is possible. In every area of his life, Marcellus has

tried to be an example that if you believe it, speak it, wait

patiently for it, it will surely come. Growing up, Marcellus

did not have a lot of material wealth, but he had a praying

mother who kept him before the Lord. He has been afforded

the opportunity to LIVE through the help of so many family

members, teachers and friends, especially his Grandfather

(William Scott), his Aunt Nellie Brown, his Auntie (Ellen

Arthur), his Aunt Rossi Alexander, his Uncle Bebe (Eddie

Alexander), his Aunt Bootsie (Minnie Woods), Lewis

Solomon, his Uncle Th eodore Scott and Aunt Liz (Scott).

Marcellus has also been supported in his early years by a

beautiful family, especially his cousins: Nowell Scott, Craig

Woods, Jeff rey Alexander, Nia Brown (BC), Samantha

Woods, and Marvin Taylor; and inlaws: Heather, Yvonne,

Arthur (Jr.), and Chris Jenkins. Marcellus, for the past

twenty years, has worked with the Youth Department of

the Community Church of Iselin (New Jersey) under

the leadership of Elder Arthur L. Jenkins, Sr. Marcellus has

worked with so many wonderful individuals in this endeavor,

especially Carol Brown (cousin) who was his example of how

to be a strong supporter of the youth. Today, he works side

by side with this amazing and talented individual. Marcellus

will continue to inspire (speak LIVING into others) for that

is not what he does, but it is who he is.
