About the Book

A Mother’s Prayer is a book for women who pray.  It is a book for women who need to pray.  It is a book for women who need prayer.  In A Mother’s Prayer, we are led through the many facets of a woman’s life, her children, her home, her husband, those humorous times she has had and her times of loss.  These women talk about their relationship with their husband, their children and, most important, their relationship with God.  They have learned throughout their lives that they need God in every day, and in every circumstance which they face.  They have learned to cast their burdens on the One they know will never fail them and He hasn’t.  This book was compiled in response to a strong feeling that God wanted it to be written.

Christine E. Clark is a 60-year-old great grandmother, grandmother, mother and daughter with a career in nursing.  She writes from experience and it shows.  She has lived through the tragic death of her son and talks to us from her heart with the hope that others who are faced with this and other life experiences will gain strength from these writings.

About the Author

I was born and raised in a small village in mid-Michigan.  I was a very shy child and did much better at writing, than talking.  Ask any of my teachers, (if they are still alive) and they will tell you that I never got in trouble in class for talking.  In fact, I never answered questions when I was called on either.

My love for writing started in the early 1980’s when I attempted to write a book.  As I wrote the book, I also began to write poetry.  I learned about prose, and began to write even more.  The early 80’s was a very dark and unhappy time in my life, but in 1991, my life made a complete turn around.  I became a Christian and the poetry flowed from my heart.

In 2006, the Lord spoke to me and told me to write a book, and title it, A Mother’s Prayer.  I have learned that when God speaks, I must listen!  Who am I to ignore the greatest Author of all times?  With help from many friends and relatives, this book was composed from their prayers, which they shared with me.  By His leading and grace, it is my pleasure to share with you A Mother’s Prayer.

Enjoy!
