Dakota felt the breeze again, but she shrugged it off and kept going. She shinned her light on the ground so she could see where the bones were. She didn't want to step on any. Her light caught the edge of a skull and when she shinned her light on it she saw that it was human. She screamed. When Jake and her dad turned around to see what was wrong this time, Dakota was gone. Her flash light was on the ground next to the skull.
Dakota opened her eyes. She looked around. Where am I? She thought to herself. She was lying on a cot. She sat up. She tried to stand up but she hit her head. She relized she was in a small cave. There were bars across the front and a small door. She was like a bird in a cage. Who would do this to me? She said to herself.

When Dakota stole away in her fathers jeep, she had no idea of the dangers she would be facing. But she finds out when she becomes dinner for a giant cricket. But when Jake saves her in a nick of time she falls for him. it becomes a race against time when they are chased by giant crickets and lava. But deep in the cave there are a colony of people. And the leader has different ideas about them leaving.
About the Author
Ever since I was little girl. I sit and day dream about things. I always wanted to know why and what if. So I've put that into my writing. I can look at something and think you know that would make an interesting story. We were invaded by mormon crickets. So I thought why not. And the rest is history as they would say.
