About the Author

Born in Galveston but raised in Houston as a quiet timid mild mannered lady of many blessings. She's a vessel of many words across numerous topics and categories. All through her life she's been told to speak up because of her quiet spoken voice. Because of this, her mother called her "Quiet Talker". She's her mother's "Q.T".

She's a graduate of Texas Southern University with a B.S. in Mathematics and minor in Computer Science. She's been an IT professional for more than 19 years. Programming in different languages on numerous platforms is her career and passion.

She's been writing poetry since grade school but almost 2 years ago she was taken to her first poetry venue by a dear friend, Artie Hughes. This experience triggered a lost love as she rediscovered her gift and started collecting and sharing it with others through more spoken word venues. She's performed in Dallas , Lake Charles , New Orleans and several poetry spots in Houston. She loves her family and friends and enjoys life to the fullest as she quietly puts her passion to paper to embrace her gift and share it with others. Her goal in life is to put God first and use her spiritual gifts and talents to be a blessing to others.

She is also blessed to have two sons with the gift of musical passion. Cato is her oldest son that let his fingers dance across the ivory keys of musical tones of the piano. Javen is her youngest with the gift of the art of singing with an old soul voice of control and smoothness. She thanks God everyday for Him blessing her womb not once but twice!
