THE TEACHER'S DECISIONS

“It was everything I hoped for,” Cargan replied from the co-pilot’s chair, as he watched the Captain work the controls.  “I have a little surprise for you when we get to Usa.  You can say it is a thank you for everything you have done for us.”

The ship touched down in the village square.  The land mass had been modernized since Lamar had started his rule.  Instead of dirt homes, most had been replaced by rock and cement.  The streets were no longer gutted and filled with holes, but were gravel, with streetlights, lit by the hydroelectric plant near the Mamook River.

“What’s my surprise,” Gomez asked.

Suddenly, Edmund called.  “Captain, we found a bomb.”

Cargan nodded, and his two companions grabbed Gomez by the arms, pinning him to his chair.  The alien twisted his head towards the windows, and pressed the button on his belt three times.  “Watch,” he laughed.

Gomez’s eyes widened as he saw small explosions spread across his ship, then it burst into flames, diving towards Usa’s ocean.

“Say good-bye,” Cargan snickered.

I should have listened to Edmund, he thought.  “You bastard … why?”

“Because I am sick of your interference.  We do it our way now,” he said.

The three security guards, who were watching the Medcorians on the moon, started running to the lander after seeing their ship, but were tackled.  Before they could pull their weapons, the Medcorians pulled their heads back, cutting their throats.

Cargan laughed and nodded to Ranill, who pulled his knife, and cut the Captain’s throat.         

As Gomez’s lifeless body crumbled into his own blood, Cargan turned to the horrified ambassador and grinned  “Now let us go see this teacher.”
