Oh my goodness! That was so frightening! Mr. Melfred was in trouble and I just didn’t know what to do. If I had arms I would have reached out to help him. If I had legs I would have ran to him, but I do not have arms or legs so I could not. Everything was just so calm now. Where was I? What was this place?
I was in a round room with the hat bags and we are just floating in mid air. It reminded me of watching dust particles in Mr. Melfred’s living room. The walls were made of three-dimensional shapes. The room had different colors like Black, purple, yellow and green. I hear a faint sound of music like an old music box playing a wonderful tune. I was starting to calm down and able to think more clearly.
I was really going to miss Mr. Melfred, he was my best friend, I was certain that he would be going to the place that humans called Heaven. I would also miss my little seven-legged friend Missy. But she was a survivor and I was sure that she would be fine. I would miss them, but now I had to figure out how to get out of here! I needed to get out of this place.
I could see the canvas hat bags; they were also just floating there in mid-air, slowly turning in all directions. Little water droplets were completely surrounding them. This was the most peaceful place that I had ever been. The room had a strange feeling about it. That I cannot describe. It made me feel warm and fuzzy.
I was starting to feel very woozy!
Wait a minute! I was feeling!! But I felt like I was going to pass out. All of the sudden I felt a huge …POP! What in the world was that? I had just sprouted an eyeball! I could see more clearly that I had ever been able to see before. In the past it was like I was seeing the world through a piece of material. Now everything was crystal clear. Pop! There it went again! What was happening to my other eye? I shouldn’t have eyes. This was so strange. I couldn’t believe it. I just blinked! I DID HAVE EYES!
As I looked over to the canvas bags with my new vision, I heard popping and cracking sounds. Pop, Pop, crack! The canvas bags were now turning into a funny green mist. I could also see the funny green mist around myself.
“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?” I blurted out. Totally astonished at what had just happened.
I had a mouth!
