Is It Too Late for America ?

Gabriella's visits the President and His Cabinet

As the news of Gabriells's visit got around there was much speculation from the secular world. One afternoon during a cabinet meeting with the President and his staff, a strange phenomenal happened when they were discussing some of the moral issues that were destroying America, when they were all struck dumb. Again Gabriella appeared in a great white light and gave a message from God, "I have blessed this nation more than any nation in all of history. When you were founded over two hundred years ago you were great because you were a Christian nation. I have keep you free and brought you through many wars that you would not have won without my help. I have made you rich and blessed you with an abundance of food and given you great technology. You worshipped me and gave me a high priority in your life. But you have changed. You have requested me to leave you, and told me to stay out of your schools and out of your government and out of your personal life. So I will if you do not change again and once again become a Christian nation. This is a warning, if you do not change back I will not continue to bless you and I will leave you unprotected and you will know that I am God."

Gabriella disappeared as quickly as he appeared. At first most of the cabinet members though it was some kind of a trick, or they were having some kind of an illusion. After some discussuion they believed they were actually visited by God's messager Gabriella. The President instructed the Vice President and the cabinet members to come up with a plan to make changes in America to once again make this nation Christian. One  suggestion was to make an amendment to the constitution to allow prayer in school, have daily reading from the bible, place the ten commandments in all classrooms, the Pledge of Allegiance be repeated every day with the words, "Under God" in it, give the authority that all government authorities have the right to decorate and celebrate Christmas and have prayer. Give the power back to the parents to raise their children without government interference. Make marriage of the same sex illegal. Make  abortion illegal. Make mercy killing a criminal offense. Also change the law back where churches could preach on anything and support morality openly without fear of losing their tax exemption status. There were many suggestions as a quick fix for America. Many were negative in the fact that many of the discussed items were tried but Congress would not cooperate. The President led the meeting in a prayer for mercy and forgiveness. They adjoured until the next morning.

The President, later that night, had a discussion with his wife about the incident. Both being Christians, took the message very serious. They did a little self examination of their own relationship with God and sought to improve it and vowed to do all that they could in His service.
