As I get near the sunset of my life I wanted to touch the memories of the world I have traveled through over the years. My fascination with America became a reality. I made my dream come true by arriving here, in this land of freedom and prosperity at the young age of twenty seven. I left Greece in 1953, after being raised to a poor but truly loving family; carrying with me sad memories of War, occupation and starvation. Marring a beautiful American girl was my “ultimate” achievement. But after the tragic event of her father’s molesting her at age eleven, she lost all self esteem, and turned out that “alcoholism” destroyed her well been. However, she gave me the greatest gift, three beautiful sons. But the dreadful traces of that disease spread to my middle son, who at the ripe age of forty five succumbed to his weakness and took his own life. That tragic event was the basis for me to decide to write the book. After divorcing my first wife I was give a second chance by marring a loving Colombian woman, who brought to me two beautiful children, and with whom I found true happiness, and being able to travel around the world, twice, offered us the best you can ask for.
