About the Book

Let me introduce you to some of our characters:  There is Clueless, a slow moving, slow talking, blood hound. Pixacome, a whimsical black miniature poodle, who lives with Amy.  Burt, a big old Great Dane, who is very wise (or thinks he is) and of course, Amy, our main character.  Other barnyard animals join the scene as our story unfolds.  See how many you can name at the end of this story about Amy the Bewildered Boxer.

About the Author

Born in Washington, DC in 1954.  I have one older sister, Nancy; one daughter, Christina (the mother of Angelina to which this book was dedicated); and a niece and nephew, Kelly and Michael.  My loving husband’s name is Bob and we currently have a 10 year old German Shepherd named Shasta.

Growing up, I didn’t really like to read.  I loved to sing and dance but books seemed so boring to me, that is, unless they were animal stories.  I think I fell in love with these stories after reading the book “Old Yeller” by Fred Gipson (copyright July 11, 1956) and then seeing the movie on television.  Another one of my favorites was “Beautiful Joe” by Marshall Saunders.

Approximately six or seven years ago, I began coming up with ideas for stories.  The words seemed to flow so quickly that my pen couldn’t keep up with my thoughts.  I was overwhelmed and felt very blessed for this to be happening.  I knew, when I started, that I wanted my books to give children and young people a positive outlook to the potential for greatness that lies in each of them.  I desired that they learn, from the stories, that team work is very important and not one person is more important than another.  God has blessed each one of us with numerous talents that He doesn’t want to see wasted and His desire is that we share them with others.

I plan to continue writing for years.  I hope that you enjoy this book and will recommend it to your friends and family.
