....as she lay there Katie wondered about the rainbow fairies, perhaps she had dreamed the whole thing, and she felt a little sadness at the thought, however she was very sure that they were there down in the rose garden, but maybe she had better run down just to make sure.
Katie washed and dressed very quickly, ran down the stairs, along the corridor and out of the backdoor, which led to a large yard and then a slope to the lawn, Katie ran as fast as she could to the rose garden as though it were going to disappear forever.
When Katie got there she walked up the stone steps with great trepidation, she looked around, down on the ground and in the ivy, which covered the wall to the garden. She could see nothing except a fly buzzing around in the early morning sun. Katie held her breath as she rang the bell, suddenly the rose garden came alive as the rainbow fairies popped sleepily out of the flowers.........

About the Book
What starts as a normal holiday at her grandmother's becomes an adventure full of magic and enchantment for 7 year old Katie as she stumbles into a mystical world hidden within her grandmother's rose garden. A world only unlocked by the open mind of a child, a world of magical beauty, a world of adventure and rainbow fairies.
The rainbow fairies live in the flowers of the rose garden, each fairy is a colour of the rainbow with shimmering transparent wings. One morning the rainbow fairies unlock their magic and Katie is shrunk down to their size. She is then thrown into the mischievous world of the rainbow fairies and other enchanting characters who show her the unimaginable beauty of their world.
About the Author
Sandra has four daughters who rekindled the memory of her own childhood in Somerset in the 1960's. The forgotton magic of childhood is something that should be remembered and treasured throughout life. The girls enjoyed the book so much that she decided to publish the story so other children could read about the fairies too.
Sandra still lives in Somerset, she is a trained counsellor and currently works for a national charity, she enjoys writing in her spare time.
