About the Book
Anna Francelli had a modest row home in a blue-collar town where her son Johnny and his friends hung out during their formative years in the sixties. They were good, fun-loving kids who did what kids do until they were gradually drawn into the troublesome events unfolding around them: a divisive war in Vietnam, raucous protests, and strained race relations. But through it all, Anna’s home remained a refuge and, for a core of the boys, Anna became a pillar of strength for over forty years.
About the Author
“Bill Pezza has written a wonderful book about friendship and loyalty on many levels. The central theme of Anna’s Boys, captured in the final chapter, transcends partisan divisions and raises timeless questions about what America owes its men and women in uniform.”
Michael G. Fitzpatrick
United States Congressman
“For as long as I’ve known him, Bill Pezza has been a master at putting a “face” on history for the students in his classroom. Now, in Anna’s Boys, he has used the printed word to tell a poignant, powerful, and insightful story of the sixties generation that will interest young and old alike.
