About the Book

‘Stories For A Bad Day’ is a collection of three stories about people escaping parts of their lives, written for people wanting to escape parts of their lives. It’s a mental hot water bottle. A comfort for the tube, the sofa, the bath after the day has savaged you. Imagination is the healer and it flows freely, unapologetically carrying you along with it, beaching you up somewhere nicer.

About the Author

Originally from Sheffield in the UK, Chris got herded around by the recession of the 1980s. Resistant at first, then strangely grateful to it. He moved a lot, travelling extensively and got into all sorts of adventures both at home and abroad – perfect fuel for a writer.

An established playwright, The Scotsman wrote of his 2003 stage play ‘Mafioso’, “Beg, borrow or knee-cap for a ticket.”  ‘The Fourth Wall’ received equal critical acclaim in 2005. ‘Achieves moments of mesmerising realism that Stanislavski would have applauded.’ Time Out. ‘Clever acerbic, unpredictable.’ The stage.

The passion continues with ‘Stories For A Bad Day’. If he had one his mission statement would read: ‘Tell original stories well and move people.’
