Love and Nature

INTRODUCTION

Unleash your imagination! Let your mind run wild to a whole new world of love, romance and inspiration that is not hidden, but very much around you, everywhere you look!  Love and nature: one and the same; God’s gift to us from kisses to rain. Doesn’t that say it all!  In my opinion Love and Nature are the two most powerful gifts that God has ever given to us: they are free and can change your life, your world and your destiny if you let yourself open your heart and mind. You need but look and become more aware of nature to see endless possibility and renewal.

When I was a small child, my parents used to take me out of my everyday environment on small vacations. They would take me out of the city into rural and rustic settings that made a profound impact on me that has lasted my entire life, and has sustained me through many different parts of my life’s journey. The seasons, oceans, lakes and skies; the trees, the mountains, the fields of farms, of gardens, of wildflowers, and hills, and country roads that talk to me

are the most romantic things in life itself. 

Relationships often seem to lose something along the way, and reconnection to the deepest parts of oneself through the senses, through touch and tenderness, through natural feeling, is often what reminds us why and how we made commitments to each other that are worth preserving. The symbols are out there and very obvious to me:  we bring flowers to all occasions in life, whether in death, symbolizing rebirth after death, or to symbolize the joys of the future and the beginnings of lives when people marry, or a visit to an old friend. Flowers articulate a sense of both mortality and eternity at once, and make love the compensation for that contradiction!

What is more romantic than the simple picnic? And where do you go but to that perfect little spot, under your favorite tree; the little corner on the little edge on top of the mountain looking out into infinity, watching the sun rise or set together! You will never forget that moment; you will remember that you were with the person who was special enough for you to end up there together in the first place. I live for those moments. What distracts us as children more than the radiant beauty of a spring day when we are stuck inside the schoolroom: the buzzing bees, the smell of fresh-cut grass, the blooming of hyacinth and forsythia, beckoning us out to reckon with our bodies, with the odd and beautiful nature of being a soul in a human body,

near and around other such souls!

I am in love with love and I am a true romantic. Love and appreciation for nature is a daily practice, and I believe everyone can achieve oneness and contentment in life with a willingness to just open one’s eyes, heart and soul to nature. I hope that my book will bring the romantic power of these images back into your life. As we are all creatures of nature, any deep interaction with natural imagery is charged with feelings of yearning and awe, which lead back to the deepest nature of love itself.

If you really think about it everything leads back to love and nature…
