Author of the 2005 Maine Lupine Award nominee-The Bittersweet Journey: A Tale of a Small Town, W.S. O’Roak-Anderson brings the second, of an intended series of children’s books. She writes adventure books with an historical twist that captures children’s imaginations, and transports them to a place free from the computer age. Trying to re-introduce values and morals in a corrupt world, her stories will take children to a time when life was simple, but the hardships were many. Children will learn the everyday problems of a previous century, in a rural Maine setting, without the challenging hassle of modern society. Her experience with children ranging from infants to adolescents, produces her drive to promote literacy in today’s youth.
