About the Book
This is a unique compilation of poetry and lyrics written by an individual who has been able to piece together a tempestuous life. Writing about her memoirs and experiences bringing to you her words with a tangy flavour of zaniness mixed with a dash of spirituality, sprinkled with a ray of fantasy and then shaken together like a strange cocktail. A read trip if you dare!
“Children” this was quite beautiful and inspiring . . .Fairy
“Grounded Stars” I have read some of your work and I have to say this one is my favourite . . .Moon talker
“A kiss in the Dark” innocent with a twist, light and deep I like the contrast I felt. . .Poet trees
“Love ”well done! it is very inspirational. Keep on writing and I’ll keep on reading them. Thanks again for sharing them with me. . . Michelle Carreiro
About the Author
Authors Note
I began writing at the age of 9 I also began dancing at that age too including making up dances at junior school and at the children’s home for people to watch. I have lived quite a hectic life and not always followed the “Right Path”! However I still managed to do quite a lot of good with my life so far. Other than changing homes and schools many times I still managed to finish college with a National Diploma in performing Arts.I have been a dancer for over 10 years (of all types!) but now I just enjoy dancing for fun and freedom of expression, it’s a good stress reliever!!! I have done various other things with my life since then i.e. teaching young kids dance and music including voluntary youth work where I ran a creative music and Art’s workshop sponsored by the MIND Millennium commission raising young peoples awareness of emotional and mental health issues. I have also done voluntary work with people living with H.I.V and a foundation course in British sign language and Nursing, in which I wan’t to persue later on in my life time.
I have met many different kinds of people from all walks of life which has given me the inspiration to write. I started getting back to writing in 1996 where I had some poems published for Amnesty International in A year against racism and since then I’ve had a couple of publications on various web sites. This is my first book and I am now in the process in writing my second book .
So in the meantime I hope this book has given you some insight? Lunar-k is just another name I’ve adopted over the years and quite a pleasant one at that may I add! Peace and understanding to you that has taken the time to read part of me! I send you love and a big hug.
