This feeling I'm feeling
Has no name
Not anger or sadness
It's not the same
It's not just a feeling
It's a state of mind
And it's taking over
And making me blind
This feeling I'm feeling
Won't let me feel different
It's blocked out all else
And it can't take a hint
The hint that it really
Has quite over-stayed
By my own feelings
I'm getting played
Don't want to feel like this
But I'm not to blame

About the Book
The Thoughts That Lingered is a reflection of a young
teen's experiences and imagination. It is a collection of poems
that portrays both the joys and hardships of growing up in today's
society. These poems are not just a look into the author's life,
but display the author's interpretation of her friends' and family
members' daily thoughts as well.
About the Author
Amanda Gallucci is a freshman at Eastchester High School in New
York. This is her first book and includes only some of the
many poems she has written. She is an honor student who
especially enjoys English class. What she likes best about poetry
is being able to express whatever thoughts come to mind without a real
explanation. She continues to write poetry in her free time and
would love to continue sharing her thoughts with everyone.
