As I begin this endeavor, I stop to thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed on me throughout my lifetime. He has always been there to guide, support, and protect me, even when I found myself way, way out on a limb or put myself in a precarious position. I pray He will be honored by the words I choose and the message I hope to convey to the readers of this book: laughter is good for the soul as well as the body. Laughter is a gift from God bestowed on humans alone (except for hyenas, of course). It lifts your spirits as nothing else can do; it puts a smile on your face and joy in your heart.
It lightens the load you bear, even in the most difficult of situations.
My life has been filled with many humorous experiences and I hope you will find them entertaining. I have included memories from my youth, special events after our marriage and the birth of our children, and some traveling experiences with close friends across the years. Some of the episodes included in this book were amusing at the time and led to laughter right away; others took several years of re-telling and pondering before the real humor in them could be fully appreciated.
