The Greatest Present.

This is my presentation of my second book of poems.  I think it is appropriate to put my book with a  poem about the newborn Christ Child that was born on Christmas Day.

                                           The Greatest Present.

The chimes of time ring out the news, its Christmas time again,
The world decorated with trees and lights and gems.
They’re waiting on old Santa Clause, with reindeer and his sleigh,
To bring them all presents, they''ll party on that day.
It''s great to believe in Santa Clause and the presents that he''ll bring,
It''s a childhood fantasy of dolls and balls and trains.
There is another reason Christmas comes each year,
That''s the day our Christ was born, to give us Christmas Cheer.
He was born in a manger, down in Bethlehem, the angels were near.
The wise men brought him presents, the angels sent them there,
They said this is the Christ Child, He''s gonna grow up right here.
He''ll tell you of God''s Message to the mortal man,
He is the greatest Christmas gift God could give to man.
When you unwrap your presents, in your Christmas hall,
Remember Christ was sent here as the greatest gift of all.
