About the Book
Into the Big, Big World is the story of an inquisitive and determined beetle called Souski who wants to learn and discover life in the world. She leaves her father’s home to educate herself and to take control of her destiny. In her quest for discovering what life is about, she travels far and encounters several animals: a mouse, a squirrel, a ladybug, an ant, and finally a moth. Only the moth provides the best answer to her quest: that life is about freedom and happiness. They unite to start a new life together. The author has woven fantasy and fact together in amusing plots to create an entertaining but credible story about Souski’s exciting adventures in her quest. Into the Big, Big World is written for small children who enjoy imaginary tales. Older children will also appreciate Souski’s adventures as she takes risks, learns to trust others and begins to find her place in the world. The story''s universal appeal and its captivating illustrations, would make it marketable both nationally and internationally. Into the Big, Big World is for today''s children, living in a multi-cultural society and learning to adapt to change and diversity.
About the Author
Azar Aryanpour studied English literature and education at Akron University in Ohio, and received a graduate degree in Library Sciences at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Ms. Aryanpour has enjoyed a career as an instructor and a librarian for many years. She is now a free-lance writer and the compiler of several books for children and adults including a book of lyrics entitled Songs from Four Continents, her memoir Behind the Tall Walls, Simurgh : a Journey in Search of the Truth, and Into the Big, Big World, inspired by one of the favorite stories of her own childhood.
The author lives in New Jersey and has three grown children and three grandchildren
