There wasn’t much Alex Nolan believed in. She believed in hard work and HER ability to get things done. She believed Bill was her best friend and that her children pumped the blood through her veins. After that, everything else was negotiable.

Always fighting to reach the brass ring, to be at least somewhere near the top of the food chain, she unfortunately and consistently slipped back into the majority of prey.

Hoping for something wonderful to happen, Alex spun through life the best any of us can hope for. Until that day when “something” punched a hole into her linear reality that she could neither explain nor ignore.

When finally the end of the rope had been reached, she found there really was someone on the other end. Someone, evidently who cared!
