About the Book
Society is blind to certain cultures and misconceptions surface in many areas. Fear is the result to the misinformed, but knowledge is power. Our heavenly Father has given us the ability to expand our minds, and reading such material as, "Help! I Live Here, Too!", will open many avenues to understanding the difference in people's lives. I share this life experience and believe it to be a stepping stone to society as a whole.
This book was written to eradicate myths about the disabled and bring acknowledgement to society that all people should be treated the same – no matter what their conditions are. Everyone should have equal rights and have a sense of belonging to this world without being falsely labeled, ridiculed, or shunned.
About the Author
Freddie Shells was born and raised in
During his teenage years, he became gravely ill with Spinal Meningitis. However, he miraculously recovered and lives to tell the story God summoned him to tell.
Mr. Shells fell in love with writing poetry and short stories during his sophomore year in college. He has received awards and recognition for his work locally. This discovery built his confidence and he encourages other writers to continue to pursue their dreams in publishing their manuscripts and expressing their talents in written form.
