About the Book

On August 5, 1861, a small but significant Civil War battle took place in North­east Missouri. Through careful manipulation by forces he doesn''t understand, Jerry Williams is about to discover that his ties to that long ago summer day are far greater than he ever dreamed.

About the Author

The author can be best described as a jack-of-all-trades. He has been a pressroom assistant, a retail clerk, a factory worker, and a non-traditional college student. As for outside interests, he is a blues music fan, an amateur astronomy enthusiast, and a Civil War buff. But most of all, he enjoys a good ghost story, should it be told by book, film, or a group of folks telling it in the confines of a spooky old house with a reputation for being haunted.

After hearing others'' tales about things that go bump in the night, he decided to create his own ghost story. Thus, by combining his Civil War interests with his interest in ghosts, he has come up with a tale about a lovely young lady from the past named Alicia.
