It was a Saturday evening.
“Crystal¼” A raspy voice said. Her blood froze as she realized who was on the other end of the line. She almost panicked and forgot about the telephone tracer, but then she remembered not to hang up the phone. As she looked out her window to see if the Simpsons were home, she was able to spot a light streaming from their kitchen window. Where was Joe?

“Yes. I’m here. What do you want? Who are you?” she screamed into the phone.
The caller laughed wickedly. “This is your admirer. I’m going to find out if you are as beautiful when you’re dead.” The caller laughed again.

About the Book
Patterns is a romantic thriller about a beautiful young woman who is terrorized by menacing phone calls from a stranger. He claims that he wants to see her dead. The woman meets a handsome and dedicated detective when he and his skeptical partner answer her fearful call for help. Immediately, she and Detective Joe Daniels experience a mutual attraction which isn’t fulfilled until they meet again by coincidence. Despite the terror of the situation, they fall deeply in love. Joe works passionately to locate the maniac before he can get to the woman he has given his heart to.
Mounting suspense and passion will keep the readers on the edge of their seats, right up to the surprise ending.
About the Author
Patterns is Leslie Linson’s first novel. She has enjoyed writing for many years, and part of this story was taken from experiences in her own life. Leslie grew up in Burbank, California, the second of eight children born to a humble tile contractor and his wife. In high school, Leslie was involved in journalism and drama. She enjoys spending time with her three children, four grandchildren, her love, Jason, and friends. She loves the beach and enjoys singing and hairstyling. She is currently working in a new hair salon, where she lives on the Central Coast of California.
