The story takes you back to the tragic Biafran War in Nigeria in the turbulent year of 1968 when Chris was born and where his family fled from after being cursed by a witchdoctor.Chris leads an idyllic boyhood in his London Years, but his life is destroyed when his father makes the mistake of moving the family back to Africain the eighties. In this second part of the book: Return to Africa, Chris struggles to survive starvation, diseases, corruption and inhumane brutality in Nigeria before he fulfills his dream of coming to America Chris’s life then takes off as he chases his American Dreams of becoming a doctor and embarks on a bizarre series of adventures including, losing a close friend to AIDS, meeting a generous millionaire, posing nude, and even ruining Dr. Laura’s day, all at the same time as holding down three jobs and searching love.


About the Author

Dr. Christopher Otiko was born in Nigeria, raised in Britain and immigrated to the United States at 22.  His unique experience of living in three countries on three continents has been extremely rewarding and gives him a hilarious perspective on life. He now owns three clinics in Southern California, and is collaborating with his brother on two other books: a relationship advice book for men called The Ex Nice Guys Rules of Dating and Sex, and a comic strip Ghetto Fabulous.   He currently resides in Southern California with his wife Celeste and their six cats and three dogs.
