About the Book

“Dr. Williams & Me” is a story about Ms. Barb’s journey on a discovery of self to find a lost and lonely child through the process of psychotherapy.  As she comes to terms with a nagging, age-old question of why a relationship with an adult and older woman was so important to her, you will experience the heart-felt sadness of her plight to understand the emptiness in her soul where a mother’s love should be.

It is a book that you won’t want to put down as you remain curious and anxious to know the fate of Ms. Barb as she overcomes hurdles after hurdles to know motherly love.

While many women hunger for the love, respect, understanding, acceptance, sense of importance, and touch of a loving mother, you will rejoice in Ms. Barb’s success to finally experience the motherly love for which she so desperately hungered.

About the Author

Ms. Barb graduated from the University of Maryland in 1985 with a degree in Behavioral Science, and she currently lives with her son in Columbia, Maryland.

After terminating with Dr. Williams, Ms. Barb went on to work on healing her children from all the pain and suffering they endured while she sought positive mental health for herself in therapy.

Using Dr. Williams as a model, she invested herself, heart and soul, into her children’s future emotional well-being.  As she enjoys the rewards that is derived from successful parenting, and the fulfillment from accomplishing her goal to bring her children into young adulthood with the ability to be independent, self-directed, decision-making individuals who lead fulfilling and productive lives, her belief system that a love which actively communicates to a child that he/she is a person of worth and value, will not fail to achieve the above designated goal.  This love, that is extended open-handedly without any expectation of an immediate return, but instead, an expectation of a long-term reward for a happy, and well-adjusted child, will yield happiness far beyond your imagined expectations.

Ms. Barb thanks God everyday for blessing her with the drive and determination she needed to find Dr. Williams, and she strongly believes she would not enjoy the emotional riches she has in life today without having had the opportunity to be the recipient of a re-parenting process by Dr. Williams.
