About the Book

Carrie, a single mom, is offered a job at a big corporation in Miami.  Unknown to her, she has been hired because of her looks, not her qualifications.  Not long after she starts her new job, her boss, Ryan Oscar, threatens her with her job if she doesn’t go on a trip with him. Carrie, who desperately needs her job agrees to go as long as she takes her kids with her.  As they near an island, a storm arises and they are shipwrecked.  Left alone on an island with her kids and a man she can’t stand, will she be able to overcome the odds and survive until she’s rescued?  Or will she be left on the island to endure this mans threats?

About the Author

Darlene was born in a small town of Crawfordsville, Indiana on December 6th, 1971.  She always showed a very creative ability in her writing.

When she was in the fifth grade, she wrote a poem titled “Wondering” for a class project.  Her grandma sent it to a local newspaper and it was accepted for publication.  Later it was turned into Pentecostal Publishers in Missouri and was published in one of their flyers.

Darlene’s biggest accomplishment has been her first novel, Love In The Middle Of Nowhere.  It’s about a single mom, her kids, and a pushy boss that are stranded on an island and must beat the odds, in order to survive.
