About the Author

Olga Dayan was born on the Island of Haiti.  She was the daughter of an American mother and an Egyptian father who had a business in Haiti.  At age 3, her parents moved to Cairo, Egypt where she grew up and spent her childhood. Her education was in English and French.  She later on studied Russian at the United Nations in New York where she was employed for a number of years. She is also fluent in Arabic and Haitian, and speaks a total of 5 languages. Olga, an American Citizen, resides in New York  City.

 

She started writing poems many years ago and considered them to be personal.  But in 2001, she wrote several additional ones, and still continues to write.  After sharing some of them with friends, she decided to take their advice and have them published in a book.

 

She enjoys music, art, literature and travels, and is interested in the various cultures of the world.
