About the Book

Life is perfect for Julie Waters—great husband, gorgeous home overlooking the Atlantic off Cohasset, Massachusetts, friends, family...and then she gets pregnant.  Great husband Ken descends into a constant state of fretfulness, slugging down single malt Scotch and pacing about the place that he and his first wife Regina restored before the plane crash that took her and their only child Katrina.  Julie melts into Regina and his sorrow revisits him.  When beloved Katrina beckons, he steps off the broad precipice to build sandcastles with her on the beach below, all the while he clutches a stuffed toy that glows brighter than flames masticating the manse.  Julie must outsmart the demons bent on destroying Ken as secrets of family, friends, and the candy-colored clown endanger mankind—and Katrina!
