About the Book

“..I didn’t want to be coldly cast away in a lifeboat with memories, a map and a dream. The map was awfully good, but I really didn’t want a map. I just wanted my Dad.”

“..I figured that he probably planned to head west to hide out on Grandpa’s farm. It was the perfect hideout, coveted for a long time by some of the island’s leading ICE men.” – Elaine Alijah

“Pirates: My Dad’s Mystery” is certainly not a biography. Rather, it is a meandering voyage through my divorcee Dad’s childhood, through a series of open-ended, inter-twined dramatic short stories (or “tracks”) to adulthood. The treacherous ride continues  up and down the corporate ladder and eventually through judicial hell, where like I’ve said before, Dad made a few very serious mistakes . It’s the “vibeztrack” of Dad’s life, available in both Standard and Teaching Editions.

Perhaps even more intriguing than the stories in the book, is the dramatic epic behind it. Fortunately, for those who need to know, a wealth of behind-the-scenes info and  both Elaine Alijah and C.C. Foxx, are very accessible at www.piratesthebook.com.

About the Author

“Before he sailed off into the ghostwriter’s wilderness, he said this collaboration was dedicated to me, his daughter, the most important, most magnificent young lady in his life. He promised, that when we finished it, buried beneath the pages and cuddled between the lines, I would discover forgotten treasures. I would find answers to some of the questions which may have bothered my brother and I during our most difficult, and our most wonderful years on this planet, and will subtly intrigue us in the years ahead.”

Elaine Alijah

An award winning author and songwriter, and a student in Florida’s  Broward County Schools Highly Gifted program, Elaine Alijah and her Dad, C.C. Foxx, have created “Pirates”,  their first entry into the creative non-fiction genre. It is the first of three titles soon to be released by the 13 year old, targeting high school seniors, college students, and family law  professionals.
