About the Book

We are all human and no matter how much faith or what good intentions we have, we fall short of our expectations or those of others. It is when we internalize these “defeats” and not accept our human-ness that we may become ill emotionally, physically, spiritually, or in our relationships with others. We must realize that it is our relationship with our God that will help us through any illness. He is a forgiving and loving God who wants a fatherly relationship with us, and even sent His Son – Jesus Christ – to live among us, forgive us, sacrifice His life for us, and redeem us. Sometimes we feel it is selfish to take care of ourselves or to even think of ourselves before others. However, it is not. Each of us is worth taking care of because without our health, we can’t function to help others. Sometimes we are afraid to heal because of the responsibilities that are associated with wellness. Some would rather die than deal with the realities of the world, yet some die in their healing. I believe we are healed when we are one with God. That does not mean that we are necessarily “cured” of our disease, but we are at peace, knowing that all will be all right no matter what happens. It is through honesty, responsibility, commitment, action, and faith that we acquire the freedom to live a fulfilled life! If you are searching for life’s wholeness and are ready to face the past, let it go after learning from it, and take responsibility for your life, this book is for you.

About the Author

Joan P. Rush writes so others can experience positive life changes. She has written three other books published by AuthorHouse (1stBooks.com). Her first book - The I Do’s and Won’ts of Marriage deals with the aspects of marriage from the “prerequisites” to suggestions for a successful marriage, to the won’ts that can destroy a marriage. Many times she wishes she had named it “The I Do’s and Won’ts of Life” because the same information is important in any life or relationship. Common Sense to Contemplate shares, through humor and illustrations, the common sense that we know but don’t always use. It was written as a result of her life experiences as a teacher, parent, neighbor, and friend.  Seasons of Life is an optimistic message about the wonderful changes we go throughout in life from birth to death.

Joan has, also, written academic materials for her students with special needs. She wrote the book I Can Multiply and Divide to empower her students with strategies to figure out the facts that they could not memorize. She, also, wrote and produced three multi-sensory social study units in order to help students experience and understand American history.

Joan is a Christian who writes to share the “Good News” that with God all things are possible! She writes concisely and “to-the-point.”  She believes that readers can apply information to their own lives. She wants people to become empowered and take responsibility for their lives and their choices. She has learned that each day is a new beginning, so she can start over if needed. Life is too short to waste it. She shares these messages with others.
