About the Author

Clarence M. Agress, retired cardiologist, published author of “Spring Rain”, “The Voortrekkers” and over a 100 scientific articles and books. Star-studded practice included William Randolph Hearst, Lana Turner, Peter Sellers, Milton Berle, Ann Baxter, Barbara BelGeddes, George C. Scott, Red Skelton, James Mason, Phil Silvers,Walter Matthau with whom he owned a yacht.

A Harvard graduate, Agress is medically recognized for co-discovering the first blood test for a heart attack, the first to show that clots could successfully be dissolved after a heart attack, designer of the heart monitor for Neil Armstrong’s moon walk for which he received White House commendation, wrote the pioneer exercise book, “Energetics”. Retirement includes writing, painting, golf, gene research, daughters Carol and Edith, four grandchildren achievers. He now overlooks the ocean in Santa Barbara with his wife, Joan.
