About the Author

“I’m Glad I Lived” is an autobiography of the life and times of Ernest Eugene Holbrook.  Born March 8, 1929, he grew up as a farm-boy in the Plant City-Lakeland areas of West Central Florida, U.S.A.

Choosing the ministry rather than the Country-western music arena, he began preaching at age 18. He has spent his life in Evangelism, pastoring churches and conducting Christian radio broadcasts.

He was proclaimed “The Radio Minister” of the area by the Plant City Commission, June 25, 1993.

He founded Faith Temple Assembly of God in Plant City, Florida, and served as Senior pastor there for 27 years.

His life’s story includes fantasies, realities, laughter, romance and much, much more.
