About the Book
This book is a mammoth collection
of 171 love poems. Some of the motifs in
this book are love at first sight, believing in love, and never giving up. There are several types of poetic forms in
this book: sonnets, couplets and free
verse. There are some wedding poems
like, “I Pledge Allegiance to Love,” which chronicles the oath a groom makes to
his bride. Also, there are some lonely
poems like, “Somewhere In This Great Land,” which
chronicles someone feeling lonely while everyone else is in love. Some of the poems emphasize love, some
sadness, but they all emphasize the power of love.
About the Author
Love is a journey in which many
never reach their goal of finding true love, Mr.
Bohannon has dedicated his life in portraying the struggles that trying to
acquire love may bring. He once stated
that the only thing worth writing about is love. He hopes that his poetry will comfort others
who have hurt and felt pain. Sure he has
been depressed and been dealt a hand that gave him a visual disability and a
dysfunctional family, but he never gave up - a concept he wishes to instill in
others.
