About the Book

“Jesus said the gates of Hell would not overcome His church (Matthew 16:18).  He declared that it cannot be destroyed.  So where has it been all those years since the first century?  Of course, it is not necessary to be able to trace an unbroken history of the Lord’s body in order to show that it has existed since the first century.

“Many years ago when a group of archaeologists first opened an Egyptian pyramid, they found a large pottery jar full of wheat in the burial chamber dating back to about the time of Joseph, which made it more than 3,500 years old.  They realized that if they planted some of it – and if it grew – they could produce the very same kind of wheat which had been grown in Egypt about the time that pyramid was constructed.

“The  archaeologists planted some of the wheat – and when it was exposed to the soil in the presence of moisture and warmth from the sun, it germinated and grew!  So it was not necessary to have an unbroken chain of 3,500 annual wheat harvests in order to grow the same kind of wheat that Joseph and Pharaoh had known....”

About the Author

Ken Molloy joined the Air Force in 1952.  He met and married Miss Pat Beard in Fort Worth, Texas in 1954.  Ken began preaching part time in 1957 in Morocco.  He also preached in Libya, Thailand, Germany, Italy, and many places across the United States before retiring from the Air Force in 1978.

Five years later, a heart attack and bypass surgery required a career change.  From 1984 to 1988, Ken preached full time for the Lucerne Valley, California church of Christ; then preached for Morro Bay, California from 1988 until 1996.

After two more heart attacks, two additional open heart surgeries, and three cardiac arrests, Ken retired from preaching.  In January, 1997, the couple moved to Hayward, California.  Ken received a heart transplant in 1998 at Stanford University Medical Center.

Ken and Pat celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January, 2004.  They have three sons, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
