About the Book

There is nothing going on in Williams New Mexico, except murder.

Pete Beard wanted a vacation to get away from it all.  A visit to a friend sounded good, but a 123 year old mystery, the brutal beating and murder of a police officer and getting shot were far from relaxing.

Pete Beard is a streetwise, city savvy San Diego police detective, out of his element in the low-key mountain town of Williams, New Mexico.  He’ll have to work harder now than ever before just to stay alive.  With the aid of an unwilling local cop, Pete pushes the envelope in an attempt to sort out clues to a series of murders, struggle to understand cryptic signs, recognize the Navajo way and the mystery surrounding sacred land.

Spanning a hundred years and taking you from the gritty streets of east San Diego to the enchanting New Mexico mountains, this detective novel takes you on a non-stop adventure ride.
