About the Author

Arthur Scher began his career working with retailers to improve store traffic and sales.  His first job was with Jersey Carpet Distributors.  He soon distinguished himself as the Distributor Representative and became manager of both Armstrong and Carpet divisions.

Earning his business degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University he accepted the Eastern Manager’s position representing a West Coast Carpet Mill.  After ten years, Pepperell Carpets, a division of West Point Pepperell, recruited him to become their Northeast manager.

Servicing hundreds of retailers, Scher authored his first book, “136 Ideas to Increase Your Retail Floor Covering Business”—scoring a stunning 17% sales of the targeted audience.

Retail Ideas 101 reaching out to a far greater audience is a must read for anyone with a vested interest in retailing.
