Adaliah walked into the recreational center that night liked he owned the place. He had a taste in his mouth for some new honey and he heard that on Saturday nights the Monroe Center was the place to find it. Adaliah stood in the doorway looking around for a few moments. His six feet two inch, 186 pound frame seemed to fill the entrance. Other than his uncle with whom he resided, he had no real friends so he’d come out alone that night. Being a loner suited Adaliah just fine. He didn’t like people in his business.
Adaliah had grown into a ruggedly handsome young man. He had a light brown complexion and hazel green eyes. He wore below the shoulders length dreads and tonight he had them pulled back with an elastic tie. His wide leg jeans and oversized brown and navy collarless button shirt hang nicely on his muscular, but trimmed frame. Both of Adaliah’s ear lobes were pierced. 1/10 carat diamond studs adorned each ear. A gold 1/4 inch Herring bone chain with a small cross hung around his neck. Adaliah absentmindedly touched it as his eyes surveyed the place.
The room was so dimly lit that Adaliah had to squint to see. He spotted an empty corner where he knew that he could melt into the dark so, he headed that way. Adaliah was well aware that he was good looking. He chuckled to himself as the heads of both women as well as young men turned as he glided by, leaving a trail of JOOP behind him. When he reached his destination, he leaned with his back against the wall, folded his arms across his chest, placed the sole of his right foot against the wall and waited. He knew that eventually the right brand of honey that he needed to satisfy his taste would walk through the door.
