About the Author

In 1969, Den went to Vietnam as an infantryman with the Marines. Out of the 200 men who went with him only 25 made it back. Den was one of them. In 1972, Den returned to Vietnam with the Army working in avionics on helicopters. Something amazing happened during that second tour in Vietnam that changed his life. He went on to become an Army Chaplain. Den has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Spring Arbor University, two Master’s degrees from Anderson University, and a Doctorate from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is currently a Pastor in Ludington, Michigan, where he lives with his wife, Karen, and their four children. He is the author of three other books and is the founder of Point to the Cross Ministries.
