About the Book

The book of Psalms is a unique collection of hymns, songs and prayers that every individual can utilize.  Appealing to the hearts and souls of all truth-centered humanity, it expresses the whole range of human experience.

The Psalms in Sermons, by Samuel B. Kamara, offers clear explanation for understanding, interpreting and applying the Psalms in our daily lives and contexts.

In his book, beginning with the first chapter and ending with the last, he spotlights the purpose, place, significance, essence, theology, worship and ways to contextualize sermons in the Psalms.  Further, in the central chapters, he provides biblical “meat”, in the form of backgrounds and sermon outlines, which further enables us to digest the massage of Psalms and Psalmists.
