is just exactly that type of book. It's about a teenage boy who finds that he has a great great grandfather who is a ghost. The way he became a ghost
is in the book. The grandfather watches over and helps Benny, the
grandson. He teaches him in all sorts of
things. He helps him win a football game. He helps him stop a robbery at a
drive in grocery. They even go deer
hunting together. No one can see of hear
his grandfather "Grey Eagle" a Cherokee Medicine Man except Benny.

About the Author
Mr. Carpenter has written three
other books before he wrote "The Adventures of Benny Bell." Mr.
Carpenter's great grandmother was a lady known only as "Bluebird"
before marrying his great grandfather Colin McKinney. He was always fascinated
with the Indian cultures and their way of life, which is why he chose to write
this story. He is also the grandfather of twenty grandchildren and 21 great
grandchildren. He loves telling stories to them. His family and friends have
always encouraged him to write a Children's book. Now he says that this is the
first in a series of
The Adventures of Benny Bell books.
