k.e. leger started writing at the age of eight. She began her first novel when she was sixteen. After a tour of duty in the Army, she attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La. There she studied creative writing under the novelist Albert Belisle Davis and earned a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications. Her journalism and photography work have appeared in numerous regional publications. She’s won the South Regional Award and the Bonnie Toups Wells Award for feature writing. She’s also won several poetry awards, and her short-story work has appeared in the Louisiana English Journal.

She lives in Assumption Parish, La. with her husband and their three children where she is currently working on her next novel and a collection of poetry and short stories.
