About the Book
A true, inspiring and dramatic story of a mother’s love and search for medical answers and assistance for her daughter, the youngest known victim of Menieres Disease. This disease can render the patient deaf and has a host of other associated medical conditions such as nausea, headaches and dizziness.
This is a mother’s diary exposing her need for years of self-education, and necessity for multiple medical visits to specialists. The lack of medical support for many of her personal observations, and her continual frustration of fighting for special education, tutors, hearing aids of other assistance will have a profound effect on the reader. Adding to the already complex situations is the drama of a marriage beset with difficulties.
It is the hope of this author that this little volume will provide courage for all parents who face the many challenges and aspects of care for their child, whether it be physical of emotional support.
About the Author
As a young child the author was spoiled as she could get her way by flashing her eyelashes at her big brothers! Times changed soon enough. As a hard working level-headed high schooler she attained A’s and became an honor student. Also, she was secretary for Student Librarians Association of Wisconsin. That she encountered difficult times in her life, in no way detracts from the way in which she has always been able to overcome adversities.
As a school bus operator, Executive Secretary, Administrative Assistant for the police department, to a department leader in a large Hi-Tech company, fortitude, boldness, honesty and a positive attitude are the dominant characteristics of this author.
