About the Book

Friedrich Nietzsche is dead... but his ghost lurks in the shadows, trapped in the cave of illusions, crying in the wilds of an uncertain hereafter, demanding to reveal the word of Zarathustra again... possessing me, as his messenger, to reveal a choice to Man... if mankind is to survive in the 21st Century:  instinct, adventure and dauntless suffering... song, music and the blood of Dionysos; or peace, leisure and repose... contemplation, art and the inspiration of Apollo?

At the crossroads of morality, his unworthy disciple Frederick shall pick up the torch, calling in black obscurity to honest men, returning with irony, which swallowed irony, throwing up truth in dishonesty... civilization is at stake!

Burning in the lifeblood of savagery to find a place in society, but always longing for the freedom of nature’s apathy, I go trekking in the wilds of reckless adventure to hear the wisdom of the ages, and so Zarathustra Spake oncemore...

About the Author

Frederick Martin-Del-Campo, in writing this book, set out to seek,... “a path to peace and happiness.”  Based on his studies in the field of comparative religion, carrying on a tradition that started with Herodotus, he struggles with life’s stern realities by applying the principles of a civil society to the individual.

Having a guideline by which to live positively by examining the peculiarities of modern life through philosophy’s eyes is of immeasurable value.  The latter is the raison d’etre for this book.

Fred is a native of California, and studied at UCLA and LAVC.  He is currently occupied as a teacher of ELT studies while editing his second anthology of verse meditations, due for publication in 2004. He has been published in numerous anthologies presented by the International Society of Poetry and the Famous Poets Society.
