While cleaning her apartment she came across the letter to Leslie from Tom Jordan again.
Laura sat down and read the letter over several times. She thought maybe she should answer it and at least tell Tom Jordan Leslie had moved and was now married. He probably was hoping to hear from Leslie any day now.
Then Laura thought again it wasn’t really any of her business though Tom seemed like such a sweet caring person in his letter.
Laura thought again. I know its not right but I could write him and pretend I was Leslie and let him down slow and easy like rather than hurt him all at once. It would also fill some of her lonely time.
Chapter 8
For several weeks Laura wrote Tom and he answered quickly thinking it was Leslie. Laura could hardly wait to get home from work to see if the postman had brought her another letter. It helped so much with her loneliness. Every letter brightened her days and answering them brightened her nights. What Laura didn’t know it also did the same for Tom Jordan.
As each letter was written and received Laura was drawn more and more to Tom and he to her.
Laura began to feel more and more scared and every time she thought about it she got a dropping feeling deep in her stomach. She couldn’t tell him she was Laura Adams and not Leslie. How could she ever straighten this out?

To overlook the faults of others. What you feel in your heart is what is really important. Treasure it, all other things in life are incidental.
Sometimes life is short or cut short make each day count for something for yourself and your loved ones.
About the Author
The author a former Colorado State Patrolman and along his life path he has witnessed and experienced the pain of many lives and loves of others cut short, wasted, and dreams unfulfilled.
It has instilled a sense of deep feelings within him to value the time you spend with loved ones. This compelled him to author this book.
He hopes his book instills the feelings that lifespan has no guarantees. If you haven’t started to appreciate those you love despite their mistakes and shortcomings perhaps its time.
