About the Author

Andrew D. Hare is a lifetime resident of Piney Flats and has spent his career serving his community. Mr. Hare has been active in his church, community organizations, and local government to help preserve and protect the historical value of the Piney Flats Community. Professionally, Mr. Hare has worked in public education since the late 90's, serving as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He has also served his County by being elected to represent Piney Flats, Bluff City, and Hickory Tree in the Sullivan County Commission. While on the Commission Mr. Hare was the Chair of the Historic Preservation and Tourism Advisory Board for all of Sullivan County. Mr. Hare is married and has three children.
