About the Book

A decades old mystery, one of the most feared men in the world and a secretive, self-serving "patriot" all converge on a sleepy, blue-collar town just north of Boston where three life-long friends become entangled in a web of intrigue, danger and dark sinister forces. What secrets lay hidden behind your neighbor’s closed curtains? Who do they protect? In an ever-changing world, three friends; a humbled local newsman, his sometimes private investigator friend and the woman who keeps both men from self-destruction, embark on a journey which will ultimately lead them to the solution of one of the twentieth century’s most notorious crimes, challenging all they thought they knew about the lengths to which men will go to hold power and the perverted view some men have of "patriotism".

About the Author

The Shooter is the first novel by Vincent Simonelli. With a degree in film studies from the University of Miami, he has written two screenplays, a sitcom and several short stories. A life-long Bostonian, he writes affectionately of his hometown, working at one of the large Universities for which the city is justifiably famous. He expects to publish the sequel to the Shooter, The Solar Antiquities, in early 2004. He is married, the father of a young son and is presently completing the third novel in this series.
