About the Book
Raised on a reservation Jake Crooked Arrow knew much of family love and high moral values.
Earning a scholarship with his high grades was Jake’s way of getting out of the reservation and work toward a better life.
While getting his education he meets and falls in love with Heather. But with all of his stumblings and bad choices will he be able to win her love and keep it.
At times it seems all they have in common is their ancestry, but Jake knows there is more. Will he forget Heather and good times they had together or will he choose a "better life" then he might have with her.
Heather loves Jake and believes that he will soon ask her to marry him, while unknown to her Jake has other big plans that are in direct conflict to all she believes and holds dear.
After an accident in which Jake is severely injured and Heather nurses him back to health, Jake again turns his life away from her. Will she forgive his indiscretions and receive him positively if he should return to her?
Will he reconsider Heather and her wishes after a murder and the surfacing of an illegitimate child?
About the Author
After graduating High School, Mary Ann married at eighteen.
She relocated to Michigan from West Virginia. In her early years in Michigan she enjoyed working with children in her local church, often writing her own materials.
Her husband passed away when she was thirty-five leaving her with two boys to raise on her own. Having not gone to college she decided to further her education so they could to stay off government aid and support herself and her sons.
College professors and friends encouraged her to write, but she had to think of her families needs and chose to go into the engineering field to support the three of them. Any dreams of writing would have to be put on hold for a few years at least.
Now that her boys are grown, and having built a rewarding career, she has also been blessed with a delightful grandson and, oh yes, a great yearning to write.
Over the past few years she has had children’s work published. And she is eagerly looking forward to seeing many of her novels in print.
