From Pain to Passion

He walks with his head up high,
But yet a war is going on inside.
In spite of the days he has to cry,
Peace he seeks to find.

He feels unworthy of love, embarrassed and sometimes ashamed,
He will rise above his handicaps for he has learned,
That God will fix it and that nothing stays the same.

He stays troubled but is still holding on,
He becomes frightened and wants to go someplace and hide.
The emotional pain becomes so intense, but yet he tries to remain strong.
The confusion becomes so frustrating, he feels like he is going to die.

Sometimes the only peace he has is when he goes to sleep.
"How much longer, do I have to go through this?" He’d question.
He reads the Bible constantly and out loud scriptures he would repeat,
He became impatient and wished for this problem to go away.

When will this war cease although some happiness he does find,
He’ll continue to trust and believe that he will overcome this battle inside.
